Do you have much coon trouble with figs? Or are fig trees kinda immune to coons?
I had a possum up in a big fig tree one night eating ripe figs. No raccoons nearby that I know of.
I have coon, possum, birds.. plenty.. but since 2020.. none have bothered my figs.
I do have to organza bag my figs… when they first turn ripe color… or a host of insects will mess with them (SWD, yellow jackets, wasp, Japanese beetles, hornets, etc).

None. But I think only because I trap and relocate aggressively. 5 big males and 1 female this year so far.
the only thing ive ever had to compete with was a bird that built a nest in the fig tree. shed hop out, walk a foot and get a fig then come back lol. easy livin
the Celeste tree was full mature so i could share back then. ive bever seen raccoons bother them personally
Don’t have coons, but my squirrels get their share….along with the bugs in hot SE GA.
I have coons, squirrels, and possums. They strip every fruit tree clean except my figs and citrus. I get sweet lemons and Meiwa kumquats
If they discover ripe figs, they will aggressively attack the tree. A few years ago, one did that to my fig trees, and it kept coming every night till I eliminated it.
