I mowed a row of my Anne raspberries and have been surprised at the quantity of new shoots. I do not see any advice if it’s better to thin these out of just let them do their thing.
thin hard to 4 canes per foot. yes its alot of pruning but if you dont disease will set in and it will also affect fruit set. i keep the 1st 4 most vigorous and prune out everything after that.

Do you thin at a particular point or as the shoots come up?
as they come up. its just easier.
