Drip irrigation controller question

I am trying to set up three to four zones for watering different groups of potted plants. Is there a better way than a four way water timer with four separate hoses? The potted plants are all right next to one another but I’m worried about the PSI of the water dropping too low hence the multiple ‘zones’. If that makes the most sense then that’s what I’ll do but it seems there should be a ‘better way’.

I went with a Rachio controller and am hard piping a few different zones. There are a lot of ways to do it, and many good and bad.
