Early Golden, H-118, Yates, Garretson

These are the persimmons I grow. Early Golden is the latest by far. Mid October and none have ripened yet. What concerns me more is that its a large tree, that consistently bears very few fruit. Does anyone else have this issue? I also don’t like the flavor of Early Golden as much as the others. Garretson is a bit smaller than the others, but the other 3 have top notch flavor, IMHO. I’m thinking of chopping the Early golden, so that it creates a regrowing stem and then grafting it to one of the others. Any last praise for Early Golden before I chop most of it? I was going to keep it in a way that I would still have a bit of it for pollination.

Sorry no praise here. I’d graft it to several varieties. Then if you don’t like any of them later you can just cut it out or graft it over.
