Experimental dwarf pear

This is one of a dozen attempts with Experimental rootstock and scions. This is a 6 foot tree. Covered in pears but i did not need to thin. I am finding harbin which is a very large rootstock can be very dwarfing in Kansas. Harbin is not fully compatible with other pears. I’m finding incompatabilty of any type is the secret sauce for a dwarf peear orchard. Quince is not the answer for us in Kansas on the high ground. It is far to dry here. Quince may work in the river bottoms. It is hard to say long term what this will lead to if anything. Many of my experiments were a complete waste of time and others led to new named varities.
