What are your strawberry variety recommendations for mixing early and late season strawbs together? I had been thinking of adding AllStar or Jewel to my collection (I’m looking for a large, firm, tasty berry), but am weighing the pros and cons of planting one early and one late-season instead.
do you want 1 big crop in early summer and another in late summer or do you want something to pick continuously from july till late summer? for a large early crop i recommend ac wendy , galleta and archer. for late sparkle and malwina. for consistent fruit throughout the summer seascape and evie2 are hard to beat.
