Fennel

First time trying to grow fennel. Use it almost daily to cook, so no idea why I haven’t before. Would love to hear from anyone growing it alone or in beds if it really inhibits growth of most other vegetable garden plants or if that’s lore? I can put it in a grow bag, if necessary.

I have not noticed any inhibitory action on other plants. However, it seeds like crazy and can become a weed within a year. Plant it once and you may never have to plant it again! My Florence fennel does not give me a bulb, despite growing into huge plants.

This is great to know!

I always grow it next to cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower with no problems
