Fermented yeast for boosting yields of vegetables

hey folks. came across a video where a guy treats his vegetables with fermented yeast to heal struggling plants and to boost yields. he did trials showing before and after effects. he adds 1 tsp. bread yeast to 1 qt. warm water with a half cup of sugar. lets it set for 12 hrs then pours it on the roots. ive heard of weed growers doing this but not regular gardeners. anyone ever done this? i know just sugar will boost soil biology somewhat but the yeast has me wondering. this guy on you tube has a pretty big following and seems to know his stuff.

So he’s making an active culture, producing alcohol, and dumping the mix on sickly plants? Well, I like a good beer after a stressful day (or even a non-stressful one, for that matter.)

lol! yeast has nutrients so i can see some benefit. he seems to know what he’s doing on his other vids I’ve seen. might give it a try like he did to see the results myself.

Why would anyone want to make their weeds grow better or even grow weeds. I kill mine

I’ve got a #5 bucket of nutritional yeast. (Dead yeast) I bought it to eat, but it was adulterated, and I could not return it and didn’t want to consume it. I’ve thought about sprinkling some around the trees. I will test it on 1 peach first.
