Fig fruit damage?

I have a brown turkey fig with a few young fruits that look like the centers have caved in a bit. Maybe 5 out of the ~100 on the tree. I don’t think it’s bird damage. Wondering if anyone else has seen this. We’ve had some major heat and dry weather recently, so I’ve been trying to water frequently, but it may not have been enough or consistent. My (smaller) hardy Chicago, Malta black and Teramo trees are all fine and don’t show this.

Hail?

That is just a deformity, a fig inside of a fig.

I agree just another iteration of the double fruited fig.

Yup, I get those from time to time… just an odd shaped fig, perfectly fine.
