I have had a few seedlings for a few years now. Out of seven three are common. So far anyway.
This one never fruited. Appears to be common. Figs are getting big
Not sure of color of interior? The other two are small yellow figs. One is red inside the other brown. I’ll harvest it in a couple days. Kinda late in the year so not an ideal fig for my area.
I’m going to call this Fig’s No. 5. My last name is Fignar. So in reference to my last name.
What’s very cool is this is the only example of this fig tree. Since fig is new genetics its genetic age is less than one year compared to say Black Madeira whose genetic age is over 600 years ( when it first was brought to Madeira. ). This will matter one day.
