I haven’t been able to monitor my orchard much this summer but found this burnt look on one of my trees. Weird thing is I don’t see much leaf damage.
It’s pretty far down the tree so if it is fireblight I would have to cut the whole thing down. Would hate to do that for no reason though!
That doesn’t look like fireblight. I don’t see the cankers or the infected shoots. I had a Liberty tree that used to get something which looked very similar every year. I never figured out exactly what was going on, but the tree was never very productive and the few fruit were attractive to both birds and insects, so I removed it.
