instead of twisting, you might try just lifting the fruit gently. When theyre fully ripe, the stem will dehisc with almost no force

That’s what I do; I just used twisting as a short way of describing it, maybe inappropriately.

Not sure if this is the thread but: I planted two Hosui up here in 6b in the spring. They look healthy and happy but do I need to do anything to prep them for winter? My first fruit trees in ground.

Thats a shame. I’m wondering if the nursery trade is spreading diverse strains of fb. I lost 2 hd also as well.
I receive material from west cost, Ny, Ks, and Mi. Need broader resistance the foundational crosses are lacking
