Putting in a plug for flax as a taller ground cover/living mulch. Planted annual and perennial last year in a small section. Annual blooms the year it’s planted - pretty purple bloom pops and then you can harvest the seed heads (just for fun for us, a few tablespoons). Perennial grew thicker, but blooms second year. Made a great living mulch and grew up strong and early through last years growth. The green is feathery blue-green and just lovely. This is how some of it looks today- a little wild.

im planning to plant some mixed with other stuff as a supplement for the chickens.

It was very easy to plant. Just dumped a packet of seeds and forgot to water it
