When I first read the headline I assumed it concerned trees infected with greening disease, but it was citrus canker:
A couple of years ago I wrote a post about tropical citrus diseases. Citrus industry going north, zone7 and colder in giant greenhouses. I am growing citrus in a Greenroom, zone 7a, Arkansas. No problem, no diseases, hardly any chemical sprays.
Growing the finest citrus varieties right here, zone 7.
I remember reading about it then. That was probably my first intro to it.
Not an issue for me, of course. Not very practical to grow citrus in Montana (although I have seen it done!)
Yes, the United States Constitution says when the government “Takes” something, they are to pay a fair price for doing it.
Finally, justice…but not before years of legal fees.
