Not the Empire here but a Reinette Grise that is one of the most beautiful looking trees in the orchard I find.
Empire is your ‘state apple’ if I’m not mistaken…makes sense it do great there.
You are 100% correct, I also have a Cortland that will have its biggest fruit set in the last 8 years.
