I snagged a copy of the Forrest Keeling Nursery catalog from the office at work before the secretaries tossed it in the recycling. I’ve always been interested since they produce most of their nursery stock with root-pruning containers. But it seems like they only sell wholesale.
I send them an email about small orders yesterday, and they got back to me with this:
The retail department NEVER ships! However if you want some of our grafted pawpaw’s you can contact a company called g2gardens.com and her number is 888-530-9977 she ships small quantiles and it is our products! Thank you for contacting us!
Anyways it is a nursery to add to the list, especially if you are looking for RPM produced trees.
Forrest Keeling has a “minimum order” threshold I think. But, you probably don’t have to be a “wholesale” customer if your order is large enough. I’ve not looked lately to see what the minimum order was. (With Lawyer Nursery, which is now de-funct, the minimum was $300, which I did on several occasions over a period of years.)
I’ve seen some trees from G2 Gardens. @BG1977 may have ordered from them. I know for sure a guy on GW John is his name bought some oaks/ornamentals and showed the roots and they had been in the containers for far too long. They were a mess.
Bryan, if you haven’t ordered from G2 do you recall those plants John in Arkansas ordered or have you seen other examples of G2 Gardens stock?
I don’t recall anyone else, and haven’t ordered myself. I remember John’s pics, and I don’t believe they were using any root pruning container at all except maybe a bottomless pot and as you said, his tree was a mess.
