We’re starting to bloom a little here in Idaho but we’re still freezing occasionally at night. The temperature swings can go from 30 at night to 65 or 70 in the day. Are we going to going to lose some of the apples or will it probably be ok?
I think you’ll be OK- that’s about the same thing we’re seeing right now, although it hasn’t actually frozen on me yet. I’m going to guess that a few fairly mild freezes won’t hurt. My big concern is bee activity now that we’re seeing some bloom!
We’re still early on but I haven’t seen any bees yet, hopefully it’s coming soon! Thanks for your reassurance.
I actually just walked out to my plum trees and they’re covered in bees so I think we’re going to be good!
