very nice. i made fried apple pies with y. transparent apples a few weeks ago. they were delicious! used puff pastry folded in half like a turnover dusted with sugar and cinnamon after. shared them with the family.

Do you fry the whole thing with oil?

yes . i cut the pastry in 10’’ x 10’’ squares. add a dollop of filing and fold in a triangle. press the edges well and fry. but i use a air fryer so they aren’t completely soaked in it. takes a little practice to get it just right. nice to eat it like a hot pocket. little mess and they keep in the fridge a long time.
