Doesn’t feel like a plum, hard on the outside like an apple but inside has a seed and smells like a pear?

Bark, leaves, and fruit all say plum; is it fully ripe? If it has a single large seed (pit) it’s a stone fruit for sure, not a pome (apple, pear, quince and others). Check every few days to see.

Looks like a nectarine to me. Mostly based on leaves. I can’t see the fruit shape that well.

Plums have thin stems. Like toothpick size and usually of some length, say 1/2 to 1 inch.

Nectarines have a short squat stem that’s often buried down in the top of the fruit. Just like a peach.
