You’re DMV? You can come get them from me!!! I’m hoping I’m done finding them for this year though. But, next year, seriously come take them.

I’ll be glad to, my mom wants a black walnut tree, but I either forget to collect walnuts or I eat all the ones I collect. They’re pretty tasty although very hard to crack open

I asked a neighbor today if I could transplant the black walnut to his house and he said ‘Yeah!’ I did not get to it today, but sometime this coming week I will move it a block and a half.

Took a picture of one of the old plum trees at a park on my walk yesterday. I took a few small branches to try and graft at home.

I tried to root some cuttings last year but none survived summer. I wasn’t able to make it in early spring this year to try some more.

Nightblooming cereus season. Missed the big bloom in the trees but had a couple of eye-level flowers. One is even on a cutting growing in water!

Any issues with the Horse apple seeing excessive FB?

No, don’t believe it’s had any strikes at all. Stayman usually gets some, Virginia Beauty quite a bit.. And this year Ginger Gold had quite a few. Randomly dispersed on other trees. I tend to keep a fairly close eye and cut them out before they become a problem!

Interesting. The Horse according to Gemini is susceptible. I’ve never had a horse apple and would like to try one.

My Stayman has been hit pretty hard this year, but it was also sprayed with herbicide. I figured the herbicide hit weakened the tree a bit.

I would like to cross a Horse with a Summer Banana.

Tropic Beauty is very very good. The trees at work had fruit ripening and they were delicious. Didn’t get to try any Tropic Snow, but Beauty and Sweet were great.
