Anyone growing or have experience with Galletta strawberry? I’m looking to add another sb and that one sounds like it might suit. So does Sable but it doesn’t appear to be for sale in US. Sue
i put in 25 AC Wendy last early may and they bloomed and fruited by mid july as well as sending tons of runners. crazy vigorous! the berries were good sized and flavor similar to Earliglow. if your interested in some i could dig you some in may. way too many in there. overwhelmed my pineberries next to them. supposed to be super early.
Hi Steve, Thanks for the nice offer, I appreciate it. But “tons of runners, crazy vigorous” doesn’t work well for me. I have a permanent bed and only renew one of the four rows a year, so continually pull off runners. I did put in AC Valley Sunset last year which is related to Wendy and it is doing well for me. And Galletta probably runners equally but it interests me because of the disease resistance and reported excellent flavor. But one never knows until one grows it. Sue
