Glencoe Purple Raspberries - a source?

I have placed a order from Indiana Berry for some new raspberries I have been wanting to try… Bristol Blacks, Joan J, Royalty Purple.

I also want to try Glencoe (Purple) Raspberry… but IB did not have them.

I have looked around quite a bit this morning and have not found what I am looking for.

Burpee does have (Raspberry, Glencoe) but per reviews they are tiny things in pots with just a few leaves, scrawny things (possibly tissure culture) not 1 year old bare root plants.

Do any of you know of a respectable nursery that might have Glencoe Purple Raspberry plants (1 year old bare root plants).

So far… I have checked Bob Wells, Starks, OGW, Burpee, Hartmans, VanWells, Englands, Burnt Ridge, Isons…

Thanks

Well… still no luck… I tried the Nursery List posted here, and all the ones listed with Berry focus… and found none.

Think I will just get 4 Bristol Blacks (one bed)… 2 Joan J, 2 Royalty Purple (another bed).

That will do me for this year.

Thanks

Ok if anyone else is interested i got mine from Etsy. 4 plants and you get 25 percent off and free shipping. CODE: 25OFF AT CHECKOUT

Mine arrived as a stage above a plug… i planted them in April 2022 and they passed the wires with strong healthy canes. I will get fruit this year.

If you want to buy from a big nursery instead and pay shipping for a plug you can buy from here.

Lowes sells a ‘Glencoe’ raspberry but last year they were very very thorny…so not sure if it was a mixup or what… i cant find a thorny glencoe listed anywhere so perhaps this year they will sell the right one?

@krismoriah — started to get one from berries unlimited…

Nope… not doing that.
I have never bought anything from Etsy… my wife probably has. May check on that later.

Thanks

I have bought from this guy also… his plants are a little leggy but they lived.

The etsy seller’s plants are the same as Nourse/Indiana/Pense plugs… healthy little plants.

I got Glenco from a eBay seller ln Mo. Nice plants about a foot high. Appeared to be pot grown. Got them in December and planted them as the soil was not frozen. I do not see the listing now so he is likely sold out.

Here is another alternative

4 plants for $24 and free shipping

Here is a nice example of the canes…

10 plants for $55.
