I grafted Sweet Scarlet and Red Gem last year. Looks like the RG will bloom but I’m not sure about SS. Hoping that the blooms are cold tolerant as these look like early bloomers to me. It would also be nice to get a taste sample this season.

The root was listed as Elaeagnus. Probably the variety used as a privacy screen.

My carmine graft failed. Has anyone fruited it yet and what is your opinion of it.

Carmine is by far my favorite of the 2 I have. I think the other is a Red Gem.

A while back I watched a video about Carmine and he indicated that it was larger than the others.

My Carmine bushes put out fruit that’s close to twice as big as the other cultivar.

Carmine has a much bigger fruit, but I don’t think they taste nearly as good as Sweet Scarlet.
