I am trying something different with my T-Bud grafted citrus trees. I am cutting the rootstock trunk about 5 inches above the graft. any sucker come out near the top of the rootstoock above the graft line’ This prevents trunk scaring of the rootstock below the graft line.
Notice all of the suckers are near the top of the rootstock trunk.
