If you live near enough to Hamden/New Haven then consider attending this workshop on grafting at Broken Arrow Nursery. Broken Arrow is famous for their hybrid Mountain Laurels bred by the owner, Dick Jaynes. While they don’t specifically say so I wouldn’t be surprised if Kalmia is among the “specimen ornamentals of their own” that participants will leave with. At any rate the cost of the workshop is less than most ornamentals cost at any quality nursery.
