first time ive ever grafted a pawpaw. when is the best time? theyre 14in. tall and fully dormant right now. still in pots.

Most advice I’ve received says the stock should be actively growing, not dormant, and ambient high temps steadily in the 80s.
Scion should be dormant, refrigerated until grafting time.
Following the above I’ve had good results.

I’ll have to try that…dormant rootstocks don’t get much success.
