What are the pros and cons of twirling the vine down the wire when it grows vs tape or tying it up along the wire. I’ve watched videos of both, but not sure which is better?

It depends on the timeline. If the vine will be wrapped around the wire for more than a year, I would be afraid that the vine will envelop the wire. I tie my spur-trained grapes.
