Anyone have experience harvesting these? I have a wild patch. They have set fruit but it is now late September and the fruits don’t seem to be turning yellow. I read that sometimes this species doesn’t ever turn yellow when ripe and I’ve tried some green fruits that don’t seem to taste bitter but am wary about eating too many green fruits.

Thanks. I have seen those. Very little info on P. longifolia ripening. I’ve had trouble with some annual species not ripening by the end of the season as well, and I’m in New Mexico where the season is fairly long.
