On the East Coast and had some hail with the storms that came through yesterday. Mostly pea to marble size, thank God, because we’ve had up golf ball size before.
Anyways, wanted to show some pictures of the aftermath.
Peacotum is looking a little naked (ignore the suckers, I want to root them since I know the rootstock is citation).
Plant starts have large chunks out all over the leaves.
But 2 pluots survived! Between frost and hail this year most plums didn’t make it. Peach is the best so far and still pretty thin.
There are chips in the bark all over trees, leaves torn off, fruit knocked off. My worry is disease pressure now. Gotta go out and spray copper I guess. Any other advice for hail damage?
