i made a labeled map of my yard so if i croak, my kids will know what’s growing where.
An obsession? Yes.
A healthy one? Yes.

Wait . . . are we twins???
Welcome @Stuiephoto AKA John!
All I wanted to do in 2018 (?) was ask one pomegranate question. Somehow - 7 years later - I ended up with FORTY THREE fruit trees!!!
Oh my goodness . . . this is such a fun topic.
My friends all think I must be some kind of genius to be able to grow so many different fruits !
I just let them think that.
Couldn’t have said it better, Steve.
@resonanteye Anji - thank you so much for sharing your story. Maybe we are all survivors - tending to the fruits we grow . . . praying that they will survive as well. I am happy for you - to have finally found a place to call your own and grow what you like.
Be careful with those tomatoes, though . . . I hear they all have a nasty streak when they reach their limit. - Karen
the spreadsheets are too advanced for me. doodles and secret code instead
@PomGranny it’s been a long road but I got here. the tomatoes may be my downfall but I’ll go out doing what I love: screaming at a plant
SOME women. All I collect are trees and shrubs.
Welcome to our group! I’ve been growing fruit trees for years now, in two different states, and thought I was doing pretty well. But I’ve still learned a few things here, and am sure I will learn some more. AND I’ve also been inspired to buy and graft still more here. Mom said “Where are you going to put them all?” I said “Haven’t you ever heard of bonsai apple trees?”
