So I’ve never done an air layer.
Do you just cut, pop and drop, or do you take some care to try to straighten out the roots and remove the dead stub of stem underneath where the roots grew?

If I had a tangled mass of roots I would attempt to straighten them a little. In this case there wasn’t enough roots to be much of an issue. I put this one in a larger pot hoping it would developer more roots as the weather cools down.
