Is it possible to graft walnut scion onto heartnut seedling rootstock?
From what I understand, heartnut are faster growers than most wild black walnut rootstock.
Any downsides to grafting this way?

Iām not a grafter, but pretty sure you can graft any walnut to them. I have many walnut trees and you are right, Heartnut grows 2-3 times faster on my property.
