First went through 5 predictions of golf size hail this winter/spring, nothing happens. Now my small micro climate got hit by a heat wave that started way early in spring, that did a number on a few of my collection, bloom falling of big time.
What came through was most of my fig collection, potted or inground. All container figs are doing great, especially Smith, big fat juicy looking things, hopefully they come through for me. My inground? A few are loaded, especially a unknown variety that produces small figs but very excellent taste, always looking forward to that one, now a big fat tree.
Mandarin? A little lean.
