Help ID fungal rhizomorph (?)

I have these neon orange “roots” pretty much everywhere, at least in areas that I’ve been mulching with arborist wood chips for years.
They’re much brighter-colored than the pics suggest.

I think they’re fungal because they tear very easily and are kinda rubbery.
They’re under the surface of the mulch and/or in the soil of course, not on top.

you got any mulberry nearby? they have those bright yellow fine roots.

yes. i have 4in. of mulch around my white mulberry. these roots are all through it.

Yeah they certainly look like roots but the texture is so weird!
