I bought this tree 3 years ago. It was supposed to be Shiro. Now it has fruited for the first year, and Shiro its not.
Its bright red skind, yellow flesh, freestone.
Its ripe now (northen Denmark). Slightly tart/bitter skin. Sweet and great taste.
Can anyone help with what variety it could be?
Definitely not a Shiro, those are yellow-green when ripe. Red skin with yellow freestone flesh sounds like a Japanese plum of some kind. Does the skin have any kind of bloom on it or is it more shiny? Nursery mislabelling is so common, half the time you just end up with a mystery tree that turns out to be pretty decent anyway.

Maybe one of them
had a little bit of white “dust” or whatever. Akin to what blueberries have.
I’m not sure about ripening time in Denmark but by phenotype, it could be ‘Formosa’.
Did you buy it from a nursery directly? It might be a good idea to go through all the plums they sold that year and compare it to your tree.
