I have been told they are easy to root in a glass of water just like sweet potatoes.

I trimmed mine a bit this winter and stuck a few of the branches in the ground. about half of them seem to have rooted and are growing.

i havent tried that but taking cuttings in fall and sticking them near the mother plant gives me a 60% rooting success with no work. i let them grow at least a season and a winter before moving them.
