I agree that Dr. Natelson has donated many southern pears to the USDA ARS grin at corvallis. He knows his southern pears, particularly Texas / Louisiana pears better than anyone else in that climate. The guy is a legend in that area. Many people talk about pears in the south and most will be dealt a double dish of humble pie unless they are paying attention to Dr. Natelson’s experiences.
