Hosui Asian Pear ripe too soon

This tree went through a rough time when I bought it. Lopped off the roots off growing out the bottom 15g container and I chopped 3 - 3foot upper branches off to fit in a Highlander.
Planted it last winter late and grafted a few other varieties on there when it started budding.
Only 5 on the tree. Do they have a chance to finish ripening? They look healthy but seem to be getting ripe already. @clarkinks does the color look normal at this time of the year? They’re so small.

I left an organza bag on this one because it’s exposed to late afternoon sunshine and today will be 104°.

The color is definately showing signs of early maturing. This hot weather does that. @39thparallel loves hosui pears and has many of them. I have trees of hosui as well. The taste is variable from one year to the next. Some years they can be pretty good. My first couple of crops from hosui left me dissapointed. It is my opinion you wont regret having them long term. Most years they turn a kind of a tan color when there is plenty of sun. There are years where the color change wont happen. The skin will be rough like sandpaper. Hosui is one of the first asian pears to ripen here.

Thank you I appreciate your reply and wisdom. The nurseryman wanted me to get a much larger Yoinashi instead but I was set on Hosui. I did graft a Yoinashi, 20’th C and Chojuro on the tree maybe I’ll get to try them next year.

First Hosui today. I should have waited a little longer. 5 more on the tree. Should get more next year since there are 3 other types grafted on there. If they survive the winter. I think I’ll wait to pick the other 5 until the end of August and not water a bit before picking those. This one had a nice crispy crunch and moderate sweetness to it. I know in a few years it’s going to be special. Thanks @clarkinks and everyone here for the information and help with AP’s and choosing Hosui.
