Not really a question but a show and tell.
These Quince BA 2 root stocks have been in this plastic tub for at least 5 years. The roots I believe never broke through to the undersoil. It started flowering last year and this year’s display was quite nice. It is defiantly getting promoted to in ground this year.

nice, if you get a chance please take some pictures and close ups. Always nice to have those as reference material for rootstocks.
BA 29(-c) is one of the strongest quince rootstocks i know of. So it could become quite a large plant.
@lordkiwi how did the fruit end up? I’m curious what the natural fruit is like for that rootstock.
The Fruit keeps getting infected. but otherwise sets quite well. Unfortunatly I didnt save enough fruit in time to sample.

Quince dont give a shit about where you plant them.
One of the seedlings has 3 feet at least of growing around in circles before 1 foot in soil
Seedling 2 was basicly grown on top of the large one
The large one I am still digging out, I just called it a day.

My quince haven’t fruited yet, but not happy to see they get rots. I’m guessing that’s the same rot as on apples.
It was a downpour this morning and evening, But I manged to get more digging done around noon.
I think I have enough roots exposed.
I need to dig the hole it will be moving into. I have to get it out and back the ground quick as its already starting to bud out.

All the quinces i have are very slow growing. max 10ft tall and pruned easily.
But my moms friend in Philly has one tree that seems like its 30-50ft tall (can’t judge size so easily haha, but it was tall!) which shocked me when i saw it.
I bet it was on its roots and not grafted as i think they said it makes small fruit.
Well this tree is fully grown Rootstock BA29c, It listed potential is 10-15ft so as big as expected.
