My bench graft is waking up, but all three trees grafted with my own scion woke up as flower buds. I know the flowers have to be removed, but at what stage? Right now I have 3 bud graft and each bud opens as flower bud. Should I remove all or some of them right away as whole cluster bud or wait until flowers are separated and can be removed separately? If I remove whole cluster bud, will it have enough power to wake up another vegetation bud?
I let the buds grow out enough to be easily removed with small scissors.

Like Bill, I remove them when flower buds separated but not open. I also use Fiskars snippers (tip pruners) types of scissors to remove them.

That’s not that many. I just pulled like 200 flowers off a 2 foot graft. A little bigger and you can pop them off like dandylion heads.
