How to tell when crimson clover flower is ready to go to seed

A few months ago I planted crimson clover as a cover crop to build the soil in my garden. It is now blooming. How do I tell when the flower is ready to go to seed. Are there some clues? I am really enjoying the beautiful red flowers, but I want to cut them down before the seeds drop. Thanks!!

I’d cut them while they’re blooming. Once they finish blooming, the seed may continue to develop enough even after you cut. It’s tough to cut down all the lovely blooms, though!
