How truly cold hardy are the hybrid persimmons?

Journey vs JT-02 persimmon (in cold)

Journey is more cold hardy. No question about it here. We had widespread -25F to -29F in our area. JT-02 got zapped hard everywhere, mostly no signs of life (and I’m not entirely heartbroken). A Journey right next to a JT-02 is perfectly fine with growth popping out all over. Not sure how cold I got exactly. My thermometer locked up at -17F for the entire night. Battery proabbly too low. By the time the sun was up and I thought to unplug and plug it back in, it read -22F IIRC.

Journey may be one of the more cold hardy hybrids.. per this post by snowflake.

I have Journey.. but no fruit yet… and it’s highly doubtful I will ever put it’s cold hardiness to test here in zone 7b.
