I dont see a whole lot on hulu jujube when searching the group. Anybody growing it and can tell me if its productive and tastes good? I cant even find much on youtube either

I have a graft of it. It made some fruit, but was not especially productive. The shape is interesting, but the fruit is pretty dry. This was grafted to a Honey Jar tree, which also had Fuicuimi and KFC grafted to it. All 3 of those varieties produced far better quality fruit than the Hulu. But, it is an interesting ornamental, if you have 10+ other jujube trees to supply you with good fruit to eat. I haven’t tried drying it, but maybe Hulu would be OK that way, since it has a decent sugar level, even if the texture is a bit iffy (not anywhere near as bad as Lang though) that isn’t really an issue when dried.
Sorry- no coronation has ever occurred. If there is a jujube king, I’m sure he lives in CA or some other sunny place, where jujubes really grow well.

Thank you! Maybe Ill hold off on adding one for a few years until I get some more tastey varieties in first. I only have Li, Lang, and honey jar at the moment. Any varieties youd recommend for flavor? Im in Ohio, Zone 6b. My li and lang were planted last year and honey jar was planted this year, so Ive yet to even try the fruit, but would eventually like to sell it at a farmstand, or possibly at out local Asian market
Li can take a while to be productive for me. But if you have it in a good spot and get a good weather year it can be decently productive. And if you are planning to sell jujubes, large fruit like Li makes it a lot quicker to pick, even if they aren’t as good as the smaller fruited varieties. Top quality mid sized cultivars are Dong, Sugar Cane, and KFC. For small, but top quality fruit, I’d recommend Black Sea (aka Russia #2).
For Lang, please don’t sell it fresh- it will ruin people’s impression of jujubes. IMO the only thing it can be used for is drying, though it isn’t really productive enough for me to grow for that. Grafting over it is the best option. If you are planning to sell fruit, dried jujubes can do well and it also gives you something to do with fruit when it cracks due to ill-timed rains. If you want massively productive trees with mid-sized average quality fruit (similar level to Li, well above Lang), I’d recommend Xu Zhou and Bok Jo.

Thank you for the insight! I only got lang to pollinate li, as I heard lang does not taste good 
. Hopefully it isnt my first jujube tree to fruit and then my husband ends up picking it off the tree thinking its something thatll taste delicious 
I am having multiple Hulu grafted tree here in DFW area, they are productive, sweet and crunchy IMO
And yes, Russian #2 (blacksea) quite small but dense and super sweet 
I grafted about 20 trees this year multiple types (Maya, Hulu, KFC, Fuicumi, Shuimen, etc)
