Speaking of pollinating sweet cherries with plums, last year my Rainier cherry produced a big crop and the only source of pollen was Gardenberry plum and Chocolate Jewel plum. So I collected the seeds and I planted them but none have germinated.

These are the Satsuma fruit that I hand-pollinated with Rainier Cherry pollen. I did removed the stamen and the petals before I hand-pollinated it with cherry pollen.

Nice. Was there a reason you chose to hybrdize those to specifically? Any known compatability with them or just two you wanted to try?
