I need some help to start growing pumpkins

I was wondering if anyone had any advice about starting pumpkins inside using a led light. This year is my first time starting them inside first. I’m trying to show my 7 year old how plants grow from seeds but I need some help. I bought a bstrip indoor mini green house that comes with a 18 watt led light inside. How far should the light be from them seed when you put it in the dirt? Please help!!

Welcome to the forum.

Most grow light operations seem to run 12-18". The real need is for wave links mimicking that of the sun. Most plants like a combo of white, blue and red wave links.

Use containers that hold at least a pint of soil. Place three seed in each container. Set the containers under the light within 6 inches so as much light as possible is directed onto the plants as they grow. Raise the lights when plants get close to them. Warning! Set curcurbits out in ground within 16 days of starting seed. If you leave them indoors too long, they get rootbound and will not produce a crop.
