I wonder what type of hose this is...still going outdoors after 17 years!

Bought custom stainless steel hose cart around '08 / '09. Short black hose came with it. It is outdoor 9 months of the year and sometimes all 12 months. Amazing it held up so good.

I didn’t measure it, just a few feet long. Standard hose fittings on both ends. I wonder if they make long hoses of this material.

Same hose we use for inlet valves of Industrial Laundry Machines. Resists crushing and repeated water hammering.

I have 2 hoses that I’ve left outdoors, in zone 6, for a decade. They are super-heavy duty rubber. I originally got them at Sears and they are Craftsman branded with brass fittings. Never a leak, never a snag, but they are heavy and not easy to coil up.

I used to drain them out before winter, now all I do is just disconnect from the house and leave it out.

Hey, you got the hose reel swivel repaired and it looks great! Thank you again to @krismoriah for telling us what that part is called!

I have 2 of these that are around 10 years or so. I just drain them in the winter and toss them in a pile. Its $1/ft

Could probably get 25-30 years out of it if you took good care of it and kept it put up… mine gets abused.

That’s right, at least about the crushing part. Dunno about the rest. It is very tough.

Yes, very excited I got a hose cart back. It is hell coiling hose by hand, even after watch tons of YT videos on it. I bought 3 different styles of swivels. Didn’t know which one would work or hold up.

Umm…A zerk fitting is used to grease bearings. The brass bit is a NPT Swivel Fitting.

Agreed, used to add grease to bearing and bushings.
