Morninglory

Most likely I. Indica aka the blue morninglory. It is beautiful when in bloom, but is an invasive that can smother any plant it grows on.

Another name for Morning Glory is Hedge Bindweed.

Sweet potato

Sweet potato is in the same family and a close relative, but the picture is not of sweet potato.

Morning glory and it appears to be the blue or purple flower variety. The seeds will be black don’t let it go to seed! I’m 90% sure it’s the blue flower type.

Thanks to everyone so ill cull it now.

OH I got Identification

I am not sure how general public can interpret it

(compound pinnate leaves etcs.)

I will try if I can explain

If it’s morning glory and it looks like it is, pull it out. As it gets hot they come up in my garden and my orchard and wrap around every vertical surface. They will cover my trees completely if I don’t pull them up.

To think that I actually bought seed packets of them when I was much younger. Now I shudder when I see the packets for sale. Just saying . . .

almost looks like Giant ragweed as well
Stems look different

I did look up IVY morning glory

Did you take a picture of the stem

HEre is giant rag weed (sun flower family or aster family )
