Greetings everyone, i’ve heard that this is one type of mulberry with a very large fruit… do any of u lads here happens to have this type of mulberry… i’m willing to make some trade here… thank you in advance.
If you are talking about the “Improved bachuus noir” from TyTy…Take a closer look at the fruit in the video…they are blackberries, not mulberries (mulberries do not have a jointed stem).
The fruits in the TyTy video are definitely mulberry. Given the poor reputation of this online nursery, it is reasonable to wonder if they have the pictured plant. I once saw a picture of an ornamental banana (basjoo) on their site with plastic banana fruit attached to it!
Now if they do, it is likely a Morus rubra with ripe fruit (in the black stage). It does not appear to be M. nigra fruit.
Also, the only Morus in the NCGR catalog with “Noir” in the name is “Noir Of Spain” – which is M. nigra.
