Indar

According to the website the fungicide is not affected by freezing. So I can wrap container if you prefer or if you would like to wait till March I can do that also. Just let me know

"STORAGE

Store in a cool, dry area above freezing. The water-soluble pouch may become brittle at storage temperatures below 0 deg C but the fungicide is not affected. Do not remove the water-soluble pouches from container except for immediate use. To prevent contamination store this product away from food or feed."

Incidentally, the source I used last year was Martinā€™s Produce Supply. It looks like I paid only $10 less last year than the price you got this year, but that may be because Indar is losing popularity in commercial production because of developing resistance. Commercial growers go though pesticides that arenā€™t complicated for them to build resistance tor much more quickly than home growers.

Once growers start to abandon a given pesticide, prices tend to drop.

However, anyone who is close to a commercial operation may suffer the consequences of resistant strains of fungus that develop there.

Assuming you are using plastic containers it seems like it should be okay when it freezes - I think a pint will freeze in transit.

Is this product really that good?

yeah, according to the website freezing doesnā€™t affect the fungicide.

Yes, it is for combatting brown rot in stone fruit. If brown rot is not an issue for someone, then there is no reason to use it.

Ah, ty for the insight

We do get Brown Rot Blossom and Twig Blight, here in the PNW,so Indar can help with that.

Indar applied two to three times throughout the growing season drastically reduces/eliminates sooty blotch/flyspeck on apples.

From the label:
Net Contents: 454.4g (8 x 56.8g water soluble packets)

Sounds easy to divide 8 ways. Does anyone know how to break the packet down to use as a per gallon mix? Everything on the instructions was per acre.

From my research I believe its 1/4tsp per gallon of water. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

Itā€™s already coming in a gallonā€¦ Not packets.

Iā€™m going to wait until later to join in. Iā€™m sorry but you just joined thy forum and this is your only post with no replies or anything elsewhere so Iā€™m wary.

Of course! I just officially joined the group. I found this group because I was looking for Indar and saw some discussions from a couple of years back. I thought it would be better to start my own post. I actually bought the gallon before I knew if anyone wanted some. This way, even if I get a few bucks back on the purchase, itā€™s still something. I took a risk too on a big purchase. You can search me up on Instagram, my personal page, or my little family farm page. My name is a few replies back, and my phone number is also there if you care to shoot me a text.

Happy Holidays!

What did you come up with for containers? Iā€™m in Minnesota and itā€™ll definitely freeze. Iā€™m okay with that but itā€™ll expand. Glass jar would ooze all over the packageā€¦

Gonna go with these

Looks good. I think those can expand enough that they wonā€™t rupture when they freeze.

I am sending you money via zelle. Thanks.
