Indoor Bonsai Fruit Trees

Just curious if anyone has experience doing this? Most temperate trees reqquire a seasonal dormant period with a certain number of chill hours. Im looking for something I can keep indoors year round. I assume supplementary lighting will be a neccessity, and supplemental heat a possibility. Mango, citrus, tamarind and pomegranate seem like possibilities, but eager to see what others have tried or would recommend. Thanks!

I just saw someone post a gorgeous kumquat bonsai on the other fruit forum. I don’t think Brian is on this forum, so hopefully he won’t mind if I post his photo here:

I think jaboticaba may be another option, based on their growth habit and small leaves, but I’m not sure how well they fruit at such a small size.

Mangos are inherently large trees. A mature dwarf mango is about 25’ unpruned and with expert training can be kept 12-16’. In the long run, the unusual structure of the tree requires a width nearly equal to height to bear fruit.

Meiwa kumquat on its own roots are themselves close to being a bonsai.

My seed grown Meiwa kumquat with no training.
